The Master of Time

Time, something that we can’t touch, see, taste, change or…fix.

Time flows costantly and with no exception, we can’t escape it, we just sail on the boat of life before to fall in the water.

Only one…only one person can be out of time, he can touch it with his own hands, move it back and forward, ignoring any human law of time and space.

He is the Master of Time.

I saw him…just once, while I was at my desk to work. I was looking to my office mail on the screen of the desktop, when I noticed that the mouse cursor wasn’t moving, I taught that program was blocked and I tried to close all the active programmes, but I couldn’t use my keyboard, so I turned to my colleagues and I realized that no one was moving, actually, nothing was moving…just me.

I looked in front of me and I saw him, close to the window, something similar to a man, but with no face, a black head without nose, ears or eyes.

He was terryfing….

– What…what are you? –

He opens his mouth and spoke: – I’m not a What Lawrence, I’m a Who.-

-How do you know me? –

– I know when are you born, I know who loves you and when you will die. I’am the Master of Time –

– What? –

– Seriously, I just told you, Who I am and you ask: “What?” –

– Excuse me, no need to be pissed, I don’t speak every day with someone who claims to be the “Master of Time”-

I was kinda of irritated, but he laughed.

-Ahahah, I knew you were the right person to speak. –

– Speaking about what? –

– A question that torments me for so long.-

– Which is it?-

– How is life? I mean, how is living without having any clue about what will happen the next day? –

I wasn’t prepared to such question from someone who should have control of time, so I answered: – It’s not easy to say, sometimes I wonder how things may be different if I had a different choice or that I would love to spend more time with someone I lost. There is a balance between living knowing that every piece of your life made you what you are and a side where you hide your regret and frustration about how things have gone –

– Interesting point. –

-Why did you asķ? –

– You won’t believe me, but it is an heavy burden be out of time, seeing every single combination of the events in present, past or future, but always as a spectator. I can craft the time of every human being, but I can’t enjoy my life time. It’s so frustating. –

I always taught that having control of time would be awesome and yet I was in front of a creature who had this power and he felt powerless.
